As the number of cases continue to rise, The Catalan Government took some pretty drastic measures on Friday the 16th of October; the closed all restaurants and bars throughout the region until the end of the month. They are only allowed to be open for takeaway options, no terraces, nothing. We have seen Barcelona without tourists, but we never thought we would see Barcelona without bars or restaurants. The measure was taken to try and limit social interactions, one of the leading causes of the spread of the virus.
