Olympic Barcelona: 27th Anniversary

The 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona were held from July 25th to August 9th.
In just a couple of days it will be the 27th year since those Games. During those same dates I will be offering my Olympic Barcelona Tour for you to come and see the impact those Games had on the city.

The tour will offer some of the best views of the city and the possibility to take the Port Cable Car down from the mountain to the beach for a nice drink or meal.

There is a reason it’s known as the “Barcelona Model” today. No other city has been able to reproduce what Barcelona was able to with its complete transformation to a popular tourist destination today. ‘92 proved that Barcelona was capable of hosting an international event, saw some of the best performances athletically, and gave the city a complete make over.

In just 2.5 hours we will explore Barcelona’s journey to hosting the Games and what it meant the city, region and country as a whole. We will visit the two most important of the Olympic parks, Montjüic Hill and the Barceloneta. Visiting the Olympic Stadium and many of the competition sites as well as the Olympic Museum we will finish with an overview of the unbelievable transformation of the city’s coastline and Olympic Village.

Come celebrate the event that made Barcelona the city it is today. Click here to see dates and times still available!
